We do not insert brown children into Scripture—we restore them to their rightful place within it. The Bible is their inheritance. Their children deserve to know it.
Our Story
Twelve Scents Publishing exists because the Bible heroes were brown-skinned men and women—and for too long, our children have not seen them as they were. We did not set out to offer representation. We set out to restore the Record.
The 1611 King James Bible stands as our foundation. Every hero in this series is drawn from its pages, depicted according to the lands they walked and the lineage they carried. These are not stories. This is Scripture—the covenant inheritance of children who descend from the very lands where God spoke, where prophets walked, and where the Messiah was born. We publish for the diaspora because the diaspora carries the seed.
Each book is crafted to build character: courage, obedience, faith, and forgiveness. Not through sentiment, but through the weight of truth. Not through apology, but through the authority of the Word. We write for brown children because brown children deserve to meet Abraham, Moses, David, and Deborah as they were—heroes who looked like them, obeyed a God who called them, and left a legacy that endures.
